Elm oysters have a firm, resilient texture and are packed with nutrients like B vitamins, fiber, and antioxidants that support overall health and endurance. Technical informations
Elm Oyster, scientifically known as Hypsizygus ulmarius. However, they grow similarly as other types of oyster mushrooms (Pleurotus ostreatus) ; they're not related. Some consider elm oysters more delicious than other oyster mushrooms (we can only advise trying out different types to judge on your own). Elm Oysters are lesser known among foragers, as they tend to grow high on trees. Beyond their gourmet use, they present a potential research area for their medicinal use.
